1) Experiment with different promotion methods - First of all go wide with your promotion strategies so you can get a feel for what you enjoy most and what you are most likely to have success with. Try article marketing, PPC, web 2.0 and more, then go narrow by focusing on the methods that are giving you the best returns.
2) Build A List - You’ve probably heard people say, “The money is in the list”. Whichever way you look at it a list gives you leverage and the opportunity to develop a relationship with people that are interested in what you have to offer.
If you aren’t building at least one, you’re missing out on a valuable asset.
3) Avoid Distractions - Stop checking your emails a dozen times a day. You know those stats you keep checking? Give that a miss as well and only check once a day. Focus your time on taking action and doing the important stuff. Spending time on messenger and religiously checking emails wastes time.
4) Don’t run before you learn to walk. You see the gurus making millions and that can be frustrating when you’re still stuck on the financial runway, but remind yourself that these people started out just like you. They started with no money and no list, yet they succeeded. How did they do this? They had a good mindset and worked smart. You can do the same.
5) Don’t flit from one project to another without having finished the one you meant to finish a couple of months ago. Several unfinished projects won’t make you any money. Focus on one thing until it’s done, then cross it off your list. Keep chipping away and you’ll have a greater sense of satisfaction knowing things are happening for you.
